Domaine arnoux lachaux: A Genuine Reviews

Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux is a boutique estate that produces outstanding red and white Burgundy, in addition to a very limited number of cases of excellent Crémant de Bourgogne. The estate has been making wine since 1826 and currently spans 17Ha across five villages in the Nuits-Saint-Georges area, a region well known for its remarkable Pinot Noir, making the Domaine one of the largest landowners in the area.

Domaine Arnoux Lachaux has been present in Vosne-Romanée since the 19th century and is now managed by Marie-Christine Arnoux. This is one of the reasons why Domaine Arnoux Lachaux is recognized as one of Burgundy’s top domains.

Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux is situated in Nuits-Saint-Georges, between the villages of Vosne-Romanée and Premeaux-Prissey. This estate, now managed by Patrick Lachaux Vienot (who was only 23 when he took over), has been in the family for seven generations. 8 hectares are cultivated in this area of Burgundy: the vineyards are composed of the finest Premier and Grand Cru vines, acquired over time, such as the legendary La Grande Rue or Corton Clos des Cortons Faiveley. This wine is made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir but still offers the same pleasures as a Côte de Nuits Premier Cru. This prominent domain has been run by two brothers for 40 years.

This is a remarkable wine: very intense, full of dark berry fruit, spice, and minerals as well as hints of smoke and tobacco. On the delicate side compared to some other red Burgundies but the excellent ageing potential. Our town is located in the Côte de Nuits, one of the most prestigious red wine-growing areas in Burgundy. The climate is continental and temperate, with a proximity to the river resulting in optimal ventilation. This vineyard land is a unique combination of four properties, including the legendary and historical “Clos des Varoilles” located in the commune of Vosne-Romanée. The Clos des Varoilles is one of the most beautiful plots in the Côte de Nuits, with its splendid red soil on a bed of limestone.

Aromas of chocolate and red fruits mix with more subtle notes of underbrush, smoke, and leather. Complex on the palate, this is a very full wine with a powerful structure that does not lack freshness.
